To share the experiences gained through our own emotional involution journeys, we have crafted an experiential workshop christened ‘Sambhavna’. The workshop can help participants apply the experience gained from embracing their own emotions to create new learning techniques and methodologies to facilitate inductive learning. The word ‘sambhavna’ is derived from the Devnagiri script, It is constructed of two parts ‘sam’ meaning ‘to become one with’ and ‘bhavna’ derived from the word Bhava meaning an emotion, sentiment, state of body or mind or a disposition. It can be simply translated as ‘a world of possibilities’.
How is your Organisation doing ?
Is it an innovation pioneer ?
Is there a shared vision across all your product and service teams ? Are your existing stakeholders viz. employees, customers, investors and suppliers keen to refer you to their friends and associates ?
Corporations today, are the most prevalent form of communal activity. They not only produce and deliver goods and services but also nurture communal spaces for individual self expression.
However, in recent times, this very platforms are facing pressures on accord of intense competition. For many employees this has become an experience of considerable stress. Constantly changing customer preferences result in greater product development , marketing and servicing costs. All of these ultimately only pushing higher leading to higher the existing break-even barriers. The standard response of companies in such a situation is to aggressively either incentivise, downsize or undersell. None of these measures is sustainable in the long run causing many corporations to wind up in the face of increasing debt traps.
Could there be another approach?
We have personally worked in various capacities in across various industries for over four decades During this period, we too have experienced such challenges. Recognising that the problem required a paradigm shift in approach, we took a sabbatical to explore the essential qualities of companies that not only survived but thrived in such trying times. They did so due to the fact that their key stakeholders did not dessert them even during difficult times. They had learnt the method of retaining employees and customers through the the art of engagement through Deep Listening. They did so through a combination of means, all requiring considerable personal time and attention. Some of them even resorted to investing top dollars into activities like data mining, big data, data analytics, or deep learning tools all of which are not visible to their customers. The information they collect is so invaluable, that some companies could even afford to offer free services to their retail customers only to collect this data in return. They could do so because even the otherwise wary employees, investors and suppliers continued to support them despite even incurring losses at times.
‘Deep Listening’ is an experiential workshop which is at the very essence of stakeholder engagement. It recognises that any stakeholder relationships have just three simple attributes viz. Form, Function and Feeling. Any stakeholder offering with due sensitivity to the coherence amongst these three attributes would, by their very nature, be engaging. Based on the level of engagement, relations can be based on products, services or experiences.
Incorporating practices shared in workshops of “ Deep listening” will effectively bring about a paradigm shift from chasing numbers, technology, competition, markets to value creation by deeper stakeholder engagement. This approach will also create a strong alignment and bond amongst the various internal teams. We envisage co-creating institutions as inspiring spaces where all stakeholders are free to express themselves within framework of the business objectives. This will naturally create in a feeling of abundance and personal fulfilment for all stakeholders to sustainably thrive.
Come explore the realm of ‘Deep Listening’ through our workshops to discover possibilities in designing and delivering engaging stakeholder experiences.
How do kids feel about their formal education?
Do they feel inspired, joyous, enthusiastic, playful, curious and creative when attending school?
How drawn are they to their teachers?
Are they waking up each morning with the zeal to learn more and rush to school with excitement?
Are they self driven to explore the various aspects of the syllabus?
The foundation of education was to develop appreciation of qualities of things around and understand their interrelations. This faculty when applied across the spectrum of subjects would impart confidence to handle real life situations as they arose. On the contrary, educational institutes today have degenerated into only imparting the skill of knowledge acquisition, memorising and representing.
This approach of 'mugging' up has left students disinterested, bored, indifferent and disillusioned about attending school. This is a serious threat to dehumanising their very innate nature of joyful inquiry. To add to it, computers today have surpassed even highly gifted individuals in teh realm of knowledge acquisition, memorising and representing.. It has rightly made these institutes cognitively redundant .
Could there be another way in the midst of this archaic system ?
Having experienced this type of education personally along with exposure to our own kids we engaged with a few dedicated teachers who had retained the essence of teaching. They continued to nurture and care for their students creating a unique bonding with each one, creating a healthy, happy and trusting environment within which kids learn joyfully. Reflecting on this and other research uncovered from ancient wisdom, we created a
process coined as “ The art of Deep Listening”.
This experiential workshop caters to teachers and parents. Through practices imparted in “Deep Listening” educators will be able to experience the immense impact of engaging emotional faculties and hence appreciate and respond to the unique emotional signatures of each student, not only for a single class but throughout their programmes.
Only through emotionally fulfilling experiences will learning become joyful.
Constant practise of “ Deep Listening” will bring about an attitudinal shift in the kids aspirations. They will realign back to their innate ability to interpret life’s experiences.
Going to school will be a joy and learning will no more be enforced but cherished. Also we will be able to grow our dwindling tribe of committed teachers . Come experience the workshop for fulfilment in learning through the profound practise of Deep Listening.
How do we feel, in our relationships?
Do we feel accepted, understood, comforted and loved ? Fulfilled not only with close friends, but also with also with spouses, colleagues, children, superiors and subordinates.
Have we wondered, why seeking relationship fulfilment is always top priority ?
It seems to be, at the very essence of being human itself !
Yet there is more.
Relationships are the easiest way to meet our inner selves- we experience the hidden facets of our personality through these very relationships. Reflecting, through relationships reconnects our conscious selves to our hidden selves. Initially although this may feel uncomfortable, subsequently, it magically transmutes into the the source our our aliveness. No wonder, it’s on top of our list.
However, more often than not, some, or more of our relationships get strained. If the strain is prolonged, the relationship many turn toxic. This hurts, and we try to escape by either suppression or blame. Although this does give short term results, maintaining a judgemental attitude, is draining by itself. Thereon, relationships turn into prisons we seek to escape from.
Could there possibly be another way?
Yes there is!
Having personally experienced heart ache for years across many intimate relationships we did not give up. Through honest and in-depth study, research and relentless practice, we realised the essence of the breakdown and its breakthrough. Techniques were re-discovered from a confluence of our own experience and the timeless ancient wisdom. Simple put, it is the Art of 'Deep Listening'.
'Deep Listening', is an experiential practice involving just five key elements. Applying this to relationships, magically transforms them. One of the key highlights in the practice is to realise that we can experience the world of “feelings” only through the aid of our relationships. The whole process of 'Deep listening' is about consciously resonating to these feelings within our selves and in turn with all others.
This profound practise once perfected, manifests relationships that sustainably thrive.
It happens simply because our attitudes get aligned to our natural ability to relate. This faculty once enhanced, allows us to be more open, compassionate and trusting. It makes us realise the abundance of love and joy flowing inside out; within and without our every relationship.
Come experience the workshop for natural healing of relationships through the simple practices of 'Deep Listening'.
How does our body feel?
Is it full of energy, vibrance, strength, agility and comfort?
Do we have the stamina for sustaining our physical tasks ?
On awakening, do we feel well rested and rejuvenated ?
The human body is the most wondrous instrument of the universe. It creates experiences not only for ourselves but for others too. It does this by integrating feelings, thoughts and actions. This itself, is nothing short of being miraculous.
And despite this sophisticated instrument, we are often trapped by dis-ease, pain, exhaustion and discomfort. Most often the same symptoms repeat themselves. Despite medications, the root cause doesn’t seem to get treated. So much so, that popping pills has become a constant part of our lifestyles, afflicting both, the young and old..
Don’t we indulge in lifestyle habits to distract us from our unpleasant feelings? Stemming from these lifestyles habits, we perpetuate lifestyle imbalances. Imbalances, that become the key cause of our physical discomfort. From that point onwards our bodies get victimised. Not by others, but by our own unconscious effort.
Are medicines the only fix ?
Does this habitual impulse to escape from unpleasant feelings facilitate healing?
Could there be another way?
Having experienced the pain of loss of close family members to grave diseases, we embarked upon an honest reflection on this subject. Stemming from these studies of timeless wisdom including yoga, mindfulness and other meditative approaches, we have rediscovered the ancient art of “Deep Listening”
Our “ Deep Listening “ workshop is an experiential process that guides our attention inwards sensations of the pain body to facilitate healing.
